Good to see some interest in the women. Lost 0-2 to Man City, who finished 4th in 22-23 so not too much of a worry. Brighton up next that will give us a better idea of where we are.

i don't see why we needed a "joint programme" for the men's and women's games this weekend .

Women’s football is shit.
Emma Hayes is annoying.
The female co commentator on the Chelsea game sounded like someone from the ghetto.

I commented to say no one gives a shit, I’ll always comment about that. No one does, don’t pretend you do, you don’t. Any women’s thread I’ll say it on. Every single one.

I generally take no interest in women's sport except for the world cup, but I don't get the degree of misogyny towards it. It's people doing their best at something they enjoy. No need to go full incel over it.

A simple truth that the BBC and Talksport need to understand is that splitarse football is fucking shit and no one's interested in it.

I was surprised what they done with the programme and il also had practically the same full page photograph of the goalkeeper on two separate pages. I never read any of the women's stuff to be honest but then again I'm never sure why I buy the bloody thing full stop..

From what I recall the women's team are run atrociously
They sell any player that has any talent and replace with crap
The squad is painfully thin.. again, and again yesterday they could not field a full subs bench
Definitely going down this season, oh and by the way, their best player and captain is pregnant !!!
She's now no longer captain, strange decision
Brady in charge, says a lot

Re: West Ham United Football Club Women

I think it's a shame that the FA had tried to make the women's game a copy of the men's instead of letting it develop organically. An example being the well established and successful Doncaster Belles being removed from the top division to make room for Man City during the season. In Australia, the rugby league and Aussie rules have done the same.

Getting the ex Spurs manager might not be a good move seeing as they lost the last 9 games under her management. Way behind most teams in the league and never fill the bench.

Early kick-off for the women tomorrow. Saturday Oct 7, 2023 12:00 PM Brighton & Hove Albion Women - West Ham United Women Brighton finished below us last season, 2nd from the bottom (but no relegation?). Therefore, hopefully first points for us. However, Brighton did beat Everton last weekend and we are away, so it will not be easy. I see the times I pasted at the top are before games were rescheduled. sorry about that...
